Residential design involves the meticulous planning and coordination of various aspects to create functional, aesthetically pleasing homes. It begins with understanding the client's needs and preferences, followed by conceptualising layouts, floor plans, and architectural styles.

Project managers oversee the entire process, which includes coordinating with architects, engineers, interior designers, and contractors to ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and budgetary constraints. Attention is paid to every detail, from structural integrity to interior finishes, to create spaces that reflect the homeowner's lifestyle while maximising efficiency and comfort.

Additionally, sustainable and energy-efficient design principles are increasingly integrated into residential projects to promote environmental responsibility.

HOUSE HENDRIKSZ

Complete in March 2023 a modern new 350m2 home for the Hendriksz family in Kingview Estate Stellenbosch. ONTGIN was the Principal Agent and Quantity Surveyor.

This 330 year grand old farm will develop its first cluster of 16 high end vineyard homes at the beginning of May 2024. This project allows owners to enjoy all the serenity the farm has to offer. Project Managed by Van der Sluys projects with ONTGIN doing the Quantity Surveying works.

Commencing in May 2024 these two homes are designed with flair by D&A Architects. Jonty has used all the elements on the farm and its surroundings to design two unique homes. ONTGIN is the Quantity Surveyor on this project.

HOUSE BORCHERS

Completed in 2019 a renovated family home in Oranjezicht. With views of Table Mountain and Lions Head this home was truly an old gem rediscovered.

Completed in 2021 this pre and post lockdown project provided challenges that tested our Contract Administration. A new 1000m2 home for the Sethi Family with ONTGIN acting as Quantity Surveyor.
